Your teaching work stays yours

We handle the information needed to provide the service, keep it secure, and remember the work you choose to save.

• Account and profile information, such as your name, email address, role, language, and preferences.
• Teacher-created content, including assistant conversations, saved TLM ideas, planning notes, and files or images you choose to upload.
• Basic technical and security information, such as device type, service events, error records, and attempts to misuse the service.

We use this information to provide and synchronise your requested features, retrieve relevant TLM material, protect accounts, diagnose faults, and improve reliability and accessibility. We do not make a private conversation public merely because it was created with the assistant.

When cloud-enhanced guidance is used, the prompt and the relevant recent context are processed to produce an answer. If you ask the assistant to use current web information, it may retrieve external pages and show source links. Those sites have their own privacy practices.

On-device guidance is optional. Its model files are downloaded only after an explicit action, may use substantial storage, and can remain available offline. A draft made on device is not added to your online history unless you choose to save or send it.

Upload only material you are entitled to use. Teachers are responsible for obtaining required permissions and for avoiding unnecessary personal information, especially information that identifies children. Use cropped or de-identified material whenever it can answer the teaching question.

We apply technical and content safeguards, but no online service can promise absolute security. Report suspected unauthorised access promptly and keep your account credentials private.

Information is shared only as needed to operate requested features, maintain security, comply with applicable law, or respond to a valid legal process. We do not sell private teacher conversations or saved library items.

Authorized administrators may access account information, private history, uploads, and saved resources when reasonably necessary to provide support, protect the service, investigate misuse, or carry out governance and legal duties. Their access is role-restricted and must be handled confidentially.

A resource becomes visible to others only when a sharing or publishing feature clearly says so and you choose that action.

Active private content remains available while your account needs it. When you request deletion, it is soft-deleted and removed from normal views immediately. Permanent deletion is scheduled within 12 months, unless limited retention is required for security, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or protected backups.

You may review and correct account details, start a new conversation, remove saved items, request account or content deletion, choose English or Hindi, and decide whether to use on-device or cloud-enhanced guidance. Some features cannot work without the minimum information they require.

TLM Lab is designed primarily for adult educators. It is not a student records system. A teacher or institution using it with student-related material remains responsible for appropriate notice, permission, supervision, and compliance with its safeguarding and record-handling duties.

We may update this policy as the service or applicable requirements change. Material changes will be presented with a revised effective date and, where appropriate, an additional notice.
